If there’s one thing Southern California is known for, its definitely the year long awesome weather we get. With only a handful of “bad” days, it’s no wonder people from all over come to visit. Whether you want to take a summer adventure, catch some waves or just chill on the sand – grab a friend and enjoy a good sunset at some of the best spots around. Here are 5 epic spots to catch a sunset when you’re in SoCal:
1) Little Corona Del Mar Beach, Newport Beach
One of the lesser known beaches in Orange County is sure to be a stunner with the unique arch rock formation. It’s common for adventurers to jump off the top of the arch during high tide. This place definitely makes you feel like you’re in paradise.
2) Manhattan Beach Pier, Manhattan Beach
A classic pier shot in Manhattan Beach is a must when visiting this part of SoCal. There’s plenty of quality places to eat and boutique stores to shop at, but the pier steals the show during sunset. Everyone needs a little pier pressure in their life!
3) 1000 Steps Beach, Laguna Beach
What feels like over 1000 steps to get down to this beach is definitely worthwhile when you can catch a sunset through one of the biggest caves in Orange County. Make sure to check when low tide is if you want to explore this cave though.
4) Newport Pier, Newport Beach
With Balboa Pier just 2 miles south of this Pier and Huntington Beach to the north, the views here are pretty much endless. Sunsets are something that are unpredictable. You never know when you’ll catch that one where the sky is on fire. This right here is definitely one of them.
5) Hospitals Reef, La Jolla
San Diego has so many beautiful beaches to offer, you really can’t go wrong with any of them. Hospitals Reef is especially awesome during low tide when you can see all the moon like craters filled with different sea creatures. Sunsets aren’t half bad here either!
