This Black History Month, we want to shed light on a few of the coveted black-owned businesses we’ve fallen in love with this year that are breaking all the glass ceilings above them. Let’s start the conversation with Golde.

Black-Owned Businesses We’re Loving: A Series

Golde was born in the 1-bedroom Brooklyn apartment of founders Trinity Mouzon and Issey Kabori, to make the intimidating world of wellness a little more approachable. Golde’s products range from facemasks to smoothie boosters, with superfoods being first on the ingredient list. The company lives by the ethos that wellness should fit into your lifestyle, not the other way around, and is obsessed with making the wellness world wholly inclusive. Golde’s products are the perfect addition to any self-care day and will make you feel your dewiest from the inside out. This past year, Sephora started carrying Golde products, making Mouzon the youngest black female founder to get her products into Sephora— no small feat. All of the products in their lineup are 100% natural, vegan, and made from ingredients you can feel good about putting on, or inside your body. Our personal favourite is their Original Tumeric Latte Blend which is hands down the best turmeric powder we’ve tried (and we’ve tried a lot). Check out their products and read more of Trinity’s story here.

It’s important to remember that the way you spend your time and money is a powerful tool in creating social change. Golde is a brand that we wholeheartedly stand behind because they embody the essence of conscious consumerism. Supporting local Black-owned businesses is one small way that we can do some good, so what are you waiting for? Get shopping folks!
