10 Reasons We Should Celebrate Our Planet

We believe that celebrating earth month is extremely important.

We believe that celebrating earth month is extremely important. Here are 10 reasons why we should celebrate our earth:

Its natural beauty

First and foremost, the planet we live on is incredibly beautiful — and we should consider ourselves quite lucky to have the chance to experience it with all of our five senses.

It’s filled with life and incredible diversity

Being on this earth gives us the opportunity to meet and interact with a wide range of living things, from rainbow trees, to tropical fish, to lemurs, to elephants. This earth is filled with millions of species that have their own little worlds, which makes it pretty impossible to get bored here. It’s all about taking charge and experiencing as much of it as you can!

It gives us peace of mind

Spending time in nature, connecting with the earth, is one of the most rejuvenating and peaceful experiences we can have. If you listen hard enough, the earth has a lot of secrets about life, health, and happiness that it can bestow upon you.

It is our home

We literally would not be here if it wasn’t for this amazing planet. It provides us with oxygen to breathe, water to drink, and food to eat. Our reliance on the earth also means that we’re always connected and one with the earth; remembering that we’re dependent on the simple things like air, water, and soil can be very grounding.

It gives us all we need

The earth knows how to take care of its living things, if only we look hard enough. And yes, all of our fashionable clothing items are in some way from the earth. That’s why tentree knows that we should give back to the earth by planting trees, in return for everything it gives us. We’re responsible for that.

It gives us perspective of what’s really important

Technology, fast-paced city life, and desk jobs can all fog our vision as to what’s really important in life. The things that matter are really quite simple — like happiness, friendships, good health and good character. Being out in nature reminds us that we should be grateful for the little positive things that enrich our lives.

The oceans are amazing

Most of the earth is made up of oceans that are home to millions of amazing sea creatures, tropical islands, and deep-sea mysteries. And the tiny parts that we can enjoy — along beaches, while swimming or boating or surfing — are the earth’s paradises.

It gives us a great view of the galaxy

The earth is the perfect spot for star-gazing and for viewing the Milky Way! Doing this will remind you of your smallness, but also provide you with appreciation for this life-giving, oxygen-providing, beautiful planet earth.

It keeps us healthy

Spending time connecting with the earth reduces your chances of developing chronic diseases, being depressed, or being overweight. In other words, the earth not only allows us to survive — but it helps us blossom and live healthy lives.

Most importantly, there’s no other place for us to live!

The earth helps us be grateful for the things we have. At the end of the day, the only things you’ll reflect on with happiness will be the relationships you’ve nourished as well as the experiences you’ve had exploring the globe and bridging differences among people. While in some distant galaxy there may be a planet similar to our earth, there likely isn’t any just exactly like ours. That’s reason enough to celebrate it, and to protect its purity and beauty.
